I am just moving into Win 2k. What is the Win2k equivalent of sysedit / msconfig. thank you.

Don

there isn't one. I can send you an msconfig for Win2K tomorrow since i have it at work, or just tell you that the only other way without extra software is to edit the registry.

It is bad, but thats the way it is in W2k..

pbxman,

Thanks for your response. Are you simply using the Win98 msconfig.exe file in Win2k? If so I have it and have used it in Win95.

Don

No - it's different, and only for Win2000. That's not saying the older version won't work..it's just that this one is specifically designed to work with the system path changes in Windows 2000 that Win95/98's msconfig can't see.

Send me an email, and i'll reply back to you with it.

Don, alot of it has been incorporated in to MSinfo32, and there is still a sysedit, but it is horrible.
PBXman, I would also like a copy of msconfig for win2k.
