I am installing a Solaris 2.7 OS on Intel Platform
when i try to setting up an NIS Domain
I typed..
$ypinit -c

I got this message:

"The local host's domain name hasn't been set. Please set it."

Please help.

edit your hosts file, alter the line:
<your host ip> <your host name>

to
<your host ip> <your host name> <your host name>.<your domain>

I think you should enter the your default domain in the file

/etc/defaultdomain
ok
