Alright... my computer runs REALLY REALLY slow. Here's what happened. I had a computer as follows:
amd k6-2 450 clocked to 400 due to small fan/overheat...
now... this fan clipped right onto the chip, so it didn't squish it at all....
broken cd-rom
voodoo 3 video card
generic hard drive
64 mb pc100 ram
shuttle spacewalker hot 591p mobo
anyways, I put in a new cdrom, and I set my cpu to its normal speed of 450. to keep it stable I put in a new bigger fan which clipped onto the mobo instead of just the chip... now I get intense slowdown all the time... even the time it takes for my computer to boot up has doubled. I've tried this cpu monitor and it says that when I play an mp3 my cpu usage is 100%. I've even tried booting up windows with NOTHING loaded and it still does the same thing. Please help! I'm desperate!
