Java Servlet Programming by Jason Hunter, O´Reilly (publisher)

Has anyone got a grip on whether this book is a good buy. I´m experienced in general Java programming before.

Thanks!! Swedish programmer

I consider this the best best for learning Servlets. I still use it on occasion as a reference book. I also recommend this book to those that want to learn JSP, because if you don't understand how Servlets work you will never be a good JSP developer.

One important point. Make sure you great the 2nd Edition of this book. It covers Servlet Specification 2.2 and JSP 1.1. It also contains a chapter on the proposed changes in Servlet 2.3 (book was published before 2.3 was finalized).

Going with this book is getting information from the source. Jason Hunter has been involved in the drafting of both the Servlet 2.2 and 2.3 Specifications. Check out his website at .

Thank you very much, wushutwist. You have helped me a lot. Thank´s a lot.
