I've read several times on the web that hyperthreading should be turned off when running netware 6/6.5 but I have yet to see a reason why. Can someone explain why??
I think that with new technology such as hyperthreading.. the first thing people do when something goes wrong is blame the new stuff and turn it off. I haven't personally seen any problems with it, but for a while I saw a lot of buzz about it in the Novell forums.. In general though, on a NetWare system, some problems are easier to troubleshoot if all of the secondary processors (and hyperthreading) are turned off. Once the problems are resolved you can turn them back on and should be okay.
