Hyperlink to Individual HTML PowerPoint Slides

We have a 10 page presentation saved as html files. We link to this presentation from our intranet home page. I would like to have links to a specific slide within the presentation.

Example: Link1 on Home Page goes to slide 1, Link2 goes to slide 6.

Linking to the main html file works fine, but then you have to navigate through the presentation links to get to the slides. I would like to link directly to the slides.

One suggestion: Create a new file for each slide, then link to the file.

Already done that as a work around. Makes for a very cumbersome approach though. That's why I'm trying to hit the individual slides.
