hyperlink conversion

I have imported a whole bunch of hyperlinks from an Access 2002 table into my Excel 2002 spreadsheet. These links do not work as hyperlinks until I double click on each cell and then hit enter (this action turns them blue and underlines them). How can I quickly convert these text fields into navigable hyperlinks without clicking on each one individually? Please note: the full urls are currenly displayed in the relevant fields.
