HUNT GROUPS

USING ICS 6.0 AND WHEN USING HUNT GROUP WHO EVER PICKS THE CALL FIRST AND WHEN THE SECOND CALLER CALLS IT GOES DIRECTLY TO HER VOICE MAIL.I'M USING THE BROADCAST METHOD, THE DN BEING CALLED IS A ANSWER DN ON EVERYONE'S SET. ANY HELP THANKS

The DN being called should be the DN of the hunt group, and the phones you want to ring should be defined as members in that hunt group. You can further define whether each member gets a ringing appearance, ring only, or appear only. You should not put an answer dn of the hunt group on members' phones. I think that is your problem.

I'm sorry - I'm not understanding you.

You can reach a particular hunt group by either calling the dn of the hunt group, or by calling a line being answered by the hunt group.

If you are calling a dn that is not the dn of the hunt group, how are you expecting the hunt group settings to be applied to that call?

You can change the dn of the hunt group the same way you change any dn - system programming\change dn

I must warn you that you need to know what you are doing, as changing a dn might have ripple effect changes. If you are not sure, please call a qualified vendor.

Anser DN's are used to answer somebody eles phone or a poor mans Hunt Group....if they dont need to answer each others direct call then remove the answer DN's and just use Hunt Groups.

Also make sure Forward Busy is not programmed under Set Abilities for all the sets in the Hunt Group.

As for changing a DN of a hunt group maybe you can in some softwares but I didnt think it could be done.

You can indeed change the dn of a hunt group, at least in 6.0 or better - I have done it lots of times.

curlycord, why can not the Forward Busy be programmed for sets in the Hunt Group? I didn't think a Hunt Group followed the sets capabilities.
