Hunt Group to Voice Mail

I searched for other threads on the same topic and found a few, but none of them helped me.

When someone dials in and chooses on of the options that leads to a HG, it rings the sets in the HG sequential. I have the overflow set to the extension of the first person in the HG. I was hoping that after it rang through everyone it would then go to the first persons VM, but it doesn't. It just says they are unavailable and hangs up on the caller.

I read some earlier threads saying that you should set the Overflow number to the VM DN, but I don't really understand that. That's the VM extension, right? It happens to be 249 on my our system. So I changed the Overflow number to 249 and it does the same thing. Says that the person is unavailable and hangs up.

 
Everyone has a mailbox. If you ring their extension enough time it picks up.
 
Unfortunately I have to wait until after hours to test it, but I will give that a go this evening, thanks!
 
I thought the hunt group thing ignored all forwarding instructions?
