We are at 4.0(7) - I see the new announcement tab options for hunt groups that allows you to customize what the caller hears. However, when the first recording is the only one set and the option after that announcement is Music on Hold, the caller is not hearing a ring tone when a hunt group agent becomes available and the call is attempted. Even though the call is being transferred from the hunt group, the caller hears music right up until the agent answers.

This is not the case on normal transfers from extension to extension or when the caller dials an extension from the auto attendant - in these cases they hear ringing. In Pre-4.0 the caller got music until the call was transferred to an available agent and then the music stopped and the ringing started - this gives the caller an alert that an agent will be on the call shortly.

I cannot see what to change to make this work this way. We want music if no agenst are available and then a ring when one becomes available.

Any ideas???

Thanks

I am thinking this is becasue of the way the queuing now works in v4.

Previously the first person in was not deemed in the q. Now they are. So this caller is still deemed in the q even though they are the next person to be answered.

Try turning normalise q length off, does that make any difference?
