I am trying to make a regular old plain jane hunt group cover to an 800 number at night using the hunt-ns button. I have the 800 number in a vector pointed to by a VDN. The VDN itself works but when the night coverage button is hit the calls still ring into the hunt group as normal. I am not using ACD on this hunt group and prefer not to. Is there any other way of doing this that I am overlooking?

Thank you,

John

jhalvorsen, I'm not certain that you can accomplish this without Trunk-to-Trunk Transfer. As it works internally for you it appears that it is either the COR/COS in either the Hunt Group/VDN or lack of Trunk-to-Trunk Transfer capability. As you are aware there are possible security risks in activating this but as a simple test try allowing it and then press the hunt-ns button. Let us know how you make out.

To verify if you have Trunk -to Trunk use the following command: disp system-parameters features

Also, check your COS to see what you have set for "Restrict Call Fwd-Off Net"

disp cos
