Morning,

I'm sure someone has answered this before, however there are so many different answers it's making my head spin.
My client has an Avaya IP Office IP500-V2 running Version 8 (18) R6.

We have created a hunt group that contains 3 users.

Extension 300
Ring Mode Collective
Overflow Mode Group
Hold Music Source No Change
Agent's Status on No-Answer None
No Answer Time (secs) 15
Overflow Time (secs) OFF
Voicemail Answer Time (secs) 35

What I need to do is if no one in the Hunt group answers the call, I want it going to extension 107 (which is a user in the hunt group - the department manager) I do not want a Hunt Group voicemail box.

Please let me know if this can happen....

Thank you in advance!

Rick

create a leave action for hunt group 300. then connect it to a leave mail 107.

Thank you! much appreciated, not used to using VMpro.

Overflow to Sequential group with user forwarded to shortcode #107

#107 / Voicemail Collect / "#"107 (or "#Username")

good call. i was thinking the overflow group followed the ring type of the original group, but now that you said that i think that's the only thing that isn't followed.

So the leave action will not work?

Both approaches work. The overflow to sequential group is needed for Embedded voicemail, but VM Pro can go either way. , and both just as valid

Thanks. Easier to use the Leave and set box 107. Thank you!

Ok so dumb question, in VMpro I made sure the AutoAttd knows that if I hit 7 to transfer me to 700 (rather than 300 as I had a #3 pointing to a destination) but when callers dial 7 from the outside it hangs up. However if I have them transfer to 700 from in house, it works fine....

why not use the group mailbox, just make sure only the manager has access?

that way he can differentiate msgs meant for him & messages that have been left because no-one is answering the phone?

Do things on the cheap & it will cost you dear

RNelson, dropped calls on a VM Pro transfer usually means that the transfer is pointing at something that's invalid.

post screenshots of the menu/module, and also the specific tab of the transfer action?
