i have a hunt group with no members assigned that has a coverage path on it. the coverage path looks like this:

COVERAGE PATH

Coverage Path Number: 160
Hunt after Coverage? n
Next Path Number: Linkage

COVERAGE CRITERIA

Station/Group Status Inside Call Outside Call
Active? n n
Busy? y y
Don't Answer? y y Number of Rings: 3
All? n n
DND/SAC/Goto Cover? y y

COVERAGE POINTS

Terminate to Coverage Pts. with Bridged Appearances? y

Point1: c83 Point2: 8203 Point3:
Point4: Point5: Point6:
____________________________________________________________

the problem is that the phone only rings twice on the first point and twice after that. i need it to ring 3 times on the first point "as specified in the path" and twice at each additional path. i already checked my system-parameters and they look as follows:

SYSTEM PARAMETERS CALL COVERAGE / CALL FORWARDING

CALL COVERAGE/FORWARDING PARAMETERS

Local Cvg Subsequent Redirection/CFWD No Ans Interval (rings): 2
Off-Net Cvg Subsequent Redirection/CFWD No Ans Interval (rings): 2
Coverage - Caller Response Interval (seconds): 4

COVERAGE

Keep Held SBA at Coverage Point? y
External Coverage Treatment for Transferred Incoming Calls? n

FORWARDING

Call Forward Override? n
Coverage After Forwarding? y

What stupid thing am i missing?

It sounds like it is going to the first point of cover on the first ring. This may be because their are no members in the hunt group to take the calls. The hunt group itself is a soft type number with no port, so it redirects the call to the first member or least used or logged in agent depending on the hunt group. As you pointed out the system parameters coverage options are set for 2 rings.

If you find any mistakes, please consider that they are there for a purpose. And everyone needs a purpose.

it should still ring 3 times at the first point though correct? whether there are no members in hunt should not make a difference.

I dont beleive it will. The hunt is only looking for one of the members to send the call to. With no members I think it would go to the first point of cover. That would explain why it is only ringing 2 times.

If you find any mistakes, please consider that they are there for a purpose. And everyone needs a purpose.

The 3 rings would be the number of times it rings at the hunt group. With no members it skips this step and goe to the first coverage point where it then uses the sys param
coverage subsequent redirection. This is where uyou need to make a change.

BobG1 is correct. One thing to be aware of though is that change is in the system parameters and will effect everything that has a coverage path.

If you find any mistakes, please consider that they are there for a purpose. And everyone needs a purpose.
