Hung Netware Server Backup Exec

Help

When I try to backup ALL USERS(1,600) using BE(8.5)it hangs the server (novell 5.1) just prior to completion of the backup. No server error messages or history in BE, no keyboard functions only the re-set button works. Backing up a few users works ok as does backing up system files. Any advise would be appreciated.
