Hung lines on a Legend R7 with merlin messaging

Have a customer that is experiencing lines that are either on hold at operator phone or busy even though nobody is on the phone. Have reliable disconnect set to yes as well as rotary enabled on VM ports. This is not an every day occurence just enough to cause a problem. All lines are loop start except the main line is ground start. System has been installed since October of last year. Not any problems except the last month. Any help would be greatly appreciated. System configuration is R7 processor with 408MLX 800 7- 016 T/R with ring generator Merlin Messaging R1 2 port
 
Are the line types set correctly on the 408 MLX module? (i.e., ground start for port 1, and loop start for ports 2,3 and 4)? Does disconnecting and reconnecting the operator console have an impact? What, if any, related errors show up in the processor error logs?

check your console...MLX membranes have been known to go
bad.
 
My best guess - is you need a replacement for the 20L.
