Hello

I have developed a web site using activ server pages, IIS 5.0 and Windows 2000 Server. For implementing secure communications to the web site, I have generated and installed a web server SSL certificate by using the certificate services in windows 2000. This is all working OK.

However, the response time before the certificate is visible using https is slow - between 10 and 60 sec. - when testing using Internet Explorer (several versions). Using the Opera 5.11 Browser the response time is very fast (about 1 sec.)

Why is Internet explorer so slow and
how can I improve the performance for Internet Explorer users?

best regards
hg
