I have taken over a new server running Windows 2000 from a network guy who has left. He has left IIS installed, but I can't get it to work. Even when I key in on the server, all it displays is "No website configyured at this address".

Any ideas as to where I might start to sort this out?

open up the iis mmc snap-in and see if there are any sites configured and what ip they answer on. "localhost" resolves to 127.0.0.1 and unless you have a site set to answer on that address or "all undefined" ips then you wont get a response. you can try and substitute the ipadress(es) of the server and see what you get, then do reverse lookups on the ips to figure out what domain names point to it.
