I have a VB6 application which uses HTML help. This works fine on my Windows 2000 machine, but when I install it on another machine running NT4, the help facility does not work. When I press F1 the pointer momentarily changes to an hourglass but no help is displayed. I can open the help file by clicking on it and it appears to be OK.

Any ideas what might be wrong?

One possible clue: When installing the application it said that the html help control was older than that currently installed. I answered "No" to use the latest control. Should I perhaps have installed the older control?

Could this be a problem with the path to the help file. In your application, what path are you using and is the help file at that location?

Andy,

Thanks for your help.

The help file was specified in the project properties with the full path which was not correct for the second PC. I have now changed it to specify the file name without the path and it correctly picks up the help file which is located in the same directory as the main application executable.
