html formatted email body being chopped

I am working on an email sending program. In plain text it works just fine.

When using html formatting headers, the email BODY gets cut off after 585 characters.

The $body variable is passed correctly and displays completely on the results screen....but the test email I receive is cut off at 585 characters no matter what the content of the body variable.

Any ideas why this is happening?

Maybe you don't want to reinvent the wheel.
