Hssi interface errors on 3640

I am noticing that errors (input, overrun, underrun, output drops) keep incrementing up on the Hssi interface on my 3640 router. I have a partial DS-3 (12.8 MB) connected to this via an Adtran external CSU. I am looking for feedback on what might be causing these errors, and how to corrct them.
