HPLJ2300dn 2-side printing problem via Citrx Metaframe XP FR3 1

Hi there,

Yesterday we purchased a new HP LJ2300dn printer,
already installed same printer driver "HP LaserJet 2300 Series PCL 6" on both server & client side, & setup the driver mapping in citrx, because w2k3 driver named "PCL 6" while w98 driver named "PCL6".

Now 1 side printing is ok, no problem. However 2-side printing got problem, whenever printed via citrix, the printer dirver 2-side printing is set to manually, & no way to change it. User has to manually re-feed the paper for 2-side printing.

While doing 2-side printing via local printer, the 2-side printing is done automatically, the duplexer handled 2 side printings automatically.

I already tried all printer drivers available form HP - PCL6, PCL5e, PS, all have the same problem.

What else should I do to troubleshoot this strange problem?

FYI, server is w2k3 std server with plenty of MS patches, citrix is metaframe xp fr3 with plenty of citrix patches.

I run into this issue all the time with printers that are duplex capable. Even though the driver is installed on the Citrix server, the duplex option has to be enabled which it is not by default. What I do in this case is to create a dummy printer with that particular driver connected to LPT1. From there I enable the duplex option. When the user logs on, set the duplex option on his/her auto-created printer for the first time. From there all subsequent times it should keep the setting.
I have done this mostly on Lexmark printers so it should work the same
