+hpdeskjet656c will only print from word pad

Seems that the computer wont , or cant tell the printer to print. I can copy and paste to word pad , then copy. I cannot copy and paste such things as maps ect , seems like only text. Will appreciate any help I can get . Thank You!
I am learning , (trying to learn) , how to use this computer. I am a 59 year old heavy equipment , truck mechanic and welder that has been dissabled . I only tell you this so you will know what your dealing with . I really dont know much about this computer , but I can fix a truck .

I am not clear about what you want to do. The title says that you can only print from word pad, does that mean that you want to print from a different program, but can't? You are also talking about pasting maps, is this about pasting maps or printing or something else?

Televison will make radio obsolete.
