HP5000 printing very slow

we just purchased a hp 5000 wide fromat printer it prints through the rampage rip and is very slow
we are running win nt any suggestions

rampage and HP talked me through some minor changes that picked up the speed but does not seem to be printing as fast as the last printer we had HP3500

just whanted to se if any one else is running into the same problems that we are facing
