How on earth do I connect/print to the printer that has a JetDirect card. When I try to install the printer through "add printer" it tells me can't find the printer. The printer is connected to the network and so are the workstation...Thanks

You don't need eyes to see just the vision because there are always more ways and different answers to what we are used to...

Print a configpage on the printer and check the IP of the printer on the JetDirect page. When installing the printer, chose network install and type in the IP address from the JetDirect page. If the printer hasn`t got any IP on the JetDirect page, return here in the post and I`ll describe further details on setting up the printer if needed. [wink]

I would recommend to try adding the printer as local and uncheck the box "Search for Plug and Play printers"
Also... you may need to download HPJetAdmin from the HP Website in order to have the choice 'HP Standard TCP/IP port' when specifying a port for this printer. Best thing is Add Printer -> Local Printer-> Create New Port -> HP Standard TCP/IP port -> Enter TCP/IP address for your printer...complete setup (i.e. select printer type and specify location where drivers are found etc..). Ping the IP address to ensure that you receive a reply. You should then be connected to the printer. Hope this helps.
