Hi All,

I have an HP AIO-1200 storage untit with a MSL2024 tape library. I can run backups using the tape drive when using HPs built in Data Protector Express software. I use Arcverve. I've installed Arcserve on the HP Server with the tape library option. When I run the Device Configuration, I can see the library and the drive and I can configure it (Cleaning slot, Barcode etc) After doing this I go into device manager and I cannot see the library or the drive I just configured. The only thing that I can see under the "Devices" tree is Atapi, Atapi and USB. I do not see the SCSI adapter that the library is attached to. I've noticed (at least I think I have) that HP uses its own driver for the SCSI card. So I downloaded the driver from the manufacturer and installed that one to no avail. (I have also diasbled the devices in Device Manager and the RSM)
Any help would be greatly apprecited

Is this the HP OEM version of the LSI controller?

If so you will probably have to get with CA for the latest Tape Engine update and the latest storport.sys update from Microsoft to get it working.

Thanks, davidmichel!! Updating the tape engine did the trick (I had the latest storport.sys already). Thank you so much!!
