HP Tape drive

Hi!


I am having a problem with the HP Tape Drive I have.Its HP6400/2000 tape drive using 4mm DDS tapes.The problem is ,it runs the cleaning tape perfectly meaning the spoolers pick up the tape and move it over the head.

But when I insert a normal tape to backup, the spoolers dont pick up the tape nor do they move the tape just stays on the carraige or ejects automatically.I have tried other tapes too but same thing happens, the cleaning tape works but the normal tape doesnt.


If anyone has any suggestion please let me know,
