I tried to use the Hp scanning software(CD) that I had used under Windows ME on my desktop PC. Now, under Windows XP, the CD won't load the scanning software, and--of course--the driver won't work.
There's appears to be a designated driver on the Web, but after downloading that file, I discovered that it was worthless without the HP scanning software.
I made several inquiries to HP Support, and I believe that I have signed up to be notified when the CD is available.(The announced time has passed.) I cannot get a confirmation that I am signed up to be notified, because for some weird reason, each inquiry is almost like beginning anew. I never receive an anwser to the original question: Am I signed up?
Anyone have any helpful suggs?
