HP SAN - ma8000 - vs IBM HBA's

Hi Techies,

I am battling to configure IBM's multipath IO to work on our HP presented luns. cfgmgr returns that fileset devices.fc.array must be installed. This fileset does not exist. Other forums stated that the vendor (HP) must supply drivers for our HBA's.
Has anyone out there successfully configured MPIO against HP storage?
Also each time I reboot all the luns are redetected, resulting in me having more hdisks than before. Previous ones are marked "Defined" and the new ones marked "Available". What's that about?

Hi ,

Don't know whether this may be of use , but here goes anyway ,

we had EMC disk array trying to use MPIO in a cluster , ( this was running AIX 5.2) but were told MPIO was supported and didn't behave correctly on this version problem with multiple paths not being detected , so the outcome was to deinstall mpio and installed powerpath , but first check if it is supported with HP disk .
