HP Printer Problems

My operating system is: WinXP Pro SP2

All of a sudden my HP 950C DeskJet printer has started printing the standard test page following the regular print job. This happens every time I try to print.

I have tried reinstalling the drivers but this makes no difference. I have tried the official 950C drivers from the HP website but no success. I have also tried the drivers that WinXP suggests for it which strangely is for either a 970Cse or 970Cxi, not the 950C. Again no joy.

Has anybody ever come across this before?

Did this start happening before or after SP2?

Is "the standard test page" the HP printer test page, or the Windows printer test page?

I installed the version of WinXP Pro with SP2 already configured in the setup. It didn't cause any problems at first but then all of a sudden (a couple of months later) the HP printer test page (the one that does the coloured bands etc) started after each print job.
