wahula / Tony - sorry for confusion. I want a way to connect 1394 to this HP notebook. It can't use standard PCMCIA cards, which I think is stupid. I'll call HP.

I understand pricewatch.com - I use them for past 5 years.
 
Yep, looks like you bought a computer without PCMCIA slots.
