HP Pavilion 6635 cpu upgrade?

Hi,

I have an hp pavilion model number 6635. it has a celeron 533 mhz cpu. I would like to upgrade it if it is possible. Could you please look into this? if it is upgradeable, please tell me how fast the stock motherboard can go, and what cpu i need.

looking at the web site seems to indicate that you would be able to get to 733MHz celeron BUT email pavillion support, and ask them!

You might also want to research further for user expierences with such an upgrade.
PC performance does not solely depend on processor speed.

Adding RAM or a faster HDD may bring better results without leaving you with a probably useless CPU.
A lot of times a simple 'spring cleaning', eg reducing the number of programs running in the background, can improve speed.
