HP laserjet 4

I have a laserjet 4 attached to a dell 8300 (XP) that I have set to share and I can get to it with my other 2 XP computers on my network. I now own a Dell 530s with vista and can't find my laser 4 on the network. Is this a Vista problem?

Make sure the Workgroup Name is the same, I believe XP Pro uses WORKGROUP as the default workgroup. Right-click My Computer==>Properties==>Computer Name (or whatever it's called in Vista). It would also probably be a good idea to post in forum1583 if that doesn't solve the issue.

What happens when you try to browse the Dell 8300 (XP) computer by typing \\computername at the RUN prompt from Vista? (obviously, replace computername with the actual computer name)

Also try the same thing using the XP PC's IP address.
So:
\\192.168.x.x from the RUN prompt
