HP Invent crashes

I have an HP Invent and have just reformatted the hard drive. Originally I was running Me. When I was running Me I encountered a problem so I upgraded to windows 2000. Unfortunately I am still having the same problem. The problem seems to be something with the internet. Every time I goto IE my system crashes. Periodically I can do somethings on IE, but for the most part it crashes. I am not sure if it is IE or if it has something to do with the nic card. I am running several other computers with w2k on other machines and I do not have any problems with the internet. Any advice would be very helpful. Thanks in advance.

What error messages do you get when it crashes?? What you went in the control panel, add/remove software and clicke don IE. You should get a menu to repair IE. What version of IE are running.

Thank you for the response. However I fixed the problem it was a bac nic card.
