Hp computer red blinking

HEllo,

I have a HP dx 6100 computer.Everytime that I turn it on it starts red light blinking with sound.Nothing else is happening.

Any ideas what might be the reason?

Are you saying your pc wont boot up into windows?
If so, take out all extra pci cards that arent needed, also any usb that isnt needed.
Then take ram out and clean gold parts with pencil eraser.
then make sure all your other connections are on tight.
Then try booting up.
If no good then take heatsink\fan and cpu out, clean and re-seat with new thermal grease, make sure heatsink\fan is on correct and flat.

If the red light that you are referring to is the LED for the power, it sounds like your power supply may be done for (assuming you're pushing the power button and the green light for the power LED turns red and flashes).
