Hi my name is Johann Stegmann and I have now received several reports where HP CD Writer and Delphi clash with one another. I wonder if you have heard about it before and if you have any advice to give. Let me explain:

Person A: His CD Writer worked fine until he loaded my Delphi 4 program. He then deleted the BDE files and his CD Writer worked fine again. My program obviously then did not work!

Person B: He had my program on his PC and the loaded CD Writer. Thereafter he could not go into any program on his PC. He uninstalled CD Writer, deleted all related files and after a week got his PC up and going again.

Person C: The same as with person B but in this instance his PC screen loaded in 16 colors and only in Safe mode. He could run his other programs but not my Delphi program.

Myself: Everything worked fine but I could not get onto our network at work. I had to uninstall CD Writer and delete all the files. Now it still looks for a file when I boot up which I have to cancel every time.

I am sure somewhere there are major clashes depending on every PC's setup and age. Have you heard of this before and could you possibly advice me how to overcome this problem?

Thanks
