HP Apollo P2200 series printer

can't seem to get it to work no matter what have been working on it for about two weeks now , downloaded the recommed driver, reinstalled and god knows what else to no avail keep getting the response that my computer is not communicating with the printer, everything is connected and still no results. Please help me

well lets start with the basics 1st checking that it set to ecp in the bios for the port then check the cable make sure its iees 1284. So long and thanks for all the fish.
