A solid black line appears down the right side of incoming faxes. Does anyone know what is wrong or how I can fix this problem?

HP 3100 Fax is showing a black line?

A solid black line appears down the right side of incoming faxes. Does anyone know what is wrong or how I can fix this problem?

This is caused by part of the scanning bulb having a break in it. It's not really a bulb, or there is a little whiteout on the image contact glass.

How can it be the scanner bulb or the glass if it's on INCOMING faxes ? .oO(unless the sender is the same all the time... ![[wink]](/data/assets/smilies/wink.gif "[wink] [wink]")
