How to use Modem-on-hold?

I have one of the generic v.92 modems with the Intel chipset. I have no complaints, because the thing works great and seems much faster connecting and with page loads than the v.90 it replaced. I only have one phone line in the house and want the modem on hold feature. I think my driver is OK, I can't find anything in the Windows 2K help section and haven't been able to find step-by-step instructions anywhere (the documentation with a $7 modem ain't the greatest). I am using Anypoint wireless networking, is that keeping it from working? I was under the impression that the MOH functionality was automatic, if your isp supported it. My isp is JOI, and they do support it on all of the dial-up numbers I'm using (I chose them for that purpose). Is it the Anypoint, or do I need some kind of software for the MOH functionality? I'm running a P4 1.8 with plenty of RAM and Win2K with all the updates. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Jack

This may be too late to be of any help, but yes you do need to run a software utility to enable MOH. Conexant based v.92 modems use NetWaiting and Lucent/Agere has theirs too - your ISP's tech support should have been able to tell you that and even where to find/get it.
. Just look around on the web for a top or 2nd tier modem maker that uses the Intel/Ambient v.92 chipset and look there for a download (it may also be hidden away in a subdirectory on your driver CD - look for MOH). This is pretty new technology as far as deployment goes so you will probably have to get the latest drivers for your modem as well.
. I'm trying to get my 3rd tier, external v.92 conexant based modem set up too. So far I've turned it into a Zoom brand modem by using their firmware and drivers. If you happen to run across a good tutorial on v.92 with conexant, please let me know.
