how to use @@IDENTITY??? 1

Hello everyone...


I'm using sql queries(insert)..but i don't know how to use the @@identity? Let's say, I JUST INSERTED A NEW ROW...THEN to get the the ID of that row is the follwing...

SELECT @@IDENTITY

IS THIS RIGHT?
