This is for the built-in .zip format of XP though

Yes, XP built-in, why is not working for you?

Actually, I'm running Win2K here at work, XP at home, and haven't had a chance to try it yet.
I just wanted to clarify for any other viewers because as far as I know, the two formats aren't 100% compatible. A Winzip'ed file my not natively extract on an XP box just because it has that extension.
I tried researching some details on the MS site but everything I found on the native zip compression was rather vague. So I don't know just how much will or won't work.
Maybe someone else has input?

So I don't know just how much will or won't work.

I have tested zipping pdf files with winzip on a Window 2000 server, and unzipping them with the above function without any problems.
Am still working on the zipping part of it, which at the moment seems to be a little buggy.
