We run a Dell PowerEdge 1650, with a 30GB (3 drives) RAID array...

But I am unable to find where to look to find out which TYPE of RAID...

Disk Administrator only shows NTFS/size/healthy, etc...

Thanks!

you can do two things here you can instal the Dell FAST array program or you can reboot and go into the PERC configuration program by pressing I believe F2 when prompted.

I don't use Dell servers, but is there a RAID Setup option during boot up?

If your total capacity with 3 drives and the server sounds like it is fairly new, it is probably RAID 1 (Mirrored). If it was RAID 0 (Stripped), they would only be 10GB drives. I don't think Dell even offers SCSI drives that small on servers.

Yeah, theyre SCSI.

Server has:

Dell PERC 3/Di RAID controller
Adaptec AIC-7892 Ultra 160/m PCI SCSI Card

Ive downloaded the new Dell OpenManage Array Manager and Im about to install it, see if it helps to ID it...

Thanks again :)

Figured it out, its RAID 5

Had to download OpenManage software from dell, and alls great now.

Thanks!
