vs 2005
xp professional sp2

i have the framework 2.0, but does it make a difference ?

If you have Visual Studio 2005 then you will be using the latest version of the framework (2.0) so that is good. Visual Studio 2005 comes with it's own built-in web server for testing so this means that you won't need IIS. You have everything you need to start developing an ASP.NET website.
