How to start a mail merge program

hello, im need to use the mail merge feature on my site. Im using delphi 2005. Can someone tell how's the concept of this? Thanks a lot.

are you using Word to perform the mail merge? is your "site" a web based program that you want to perform the mail merge on?

yes, its a web based program. I don't really know if I'll be using a Word or I'll be using an editor on the site itself.

Just to clarify, do you actually understand what a mail merge is and how it works (for example, in Microsoft Word)?
