I have a grid where I would like to show an up/down arrow in the column header. I would like to show the user where and how the grid is being sorted. The user can also choose other columns to sort the grid. I just though showing them an arrow instead of a +/- would be neat. Is there a way to do this? The arrows I have are .bmp. I am using VB6.

Any suggestions appreciated. [flowerface]

You know that the Grid that comes with VB is not a very powerful grid. If you want that type of control (sorting by column) and (show icons in the header(s)) you will have to get a third party Grid. All the fancy contol(s) come with the fancy Grids.

I am using the Infragistics SSDBGrid (used to be Sheridan). Sorry, should have put that in my original post. I can't find much help on it.

VB 6.0 creates a list. When the number of items grows
beyond what the list can display, an arrow cursor
automatically appears. If you use a list, you don't neeed
to do anything.

The arrows are being used to display which way the column is being sorted. If I am understanding you right, a list will not work. I am using a grid to display records from a Access table.
