How to setup VPN

My client has a Netgear RP 614 router, cable internet, RoadRunner, and is running XP Pro on all machines. He wants to be able to setup and connect thru the Internet to his Office network.
How do I find out the static IP of his router, patch thru his router so that he can remotely access his office network.

if this is static ip, you should find it when you access the router to do setup. or use a inside computer open
