I am trying to setup a stand-alone box that would run a program that uses SQL Server 6.5. I am unable to run SQL as it is trying to search the domain for the SQL server and there is no network, so I can not register my server.
So for NT Server 4.0 service pack 6a- Would it be better to setup the server as a PDC or as a Workgroup member?-If there is even an option.

Thanks for your help.

I run SQL server fine on a member server. What error message do you get and when do you get it?

"SQL Server cannot be found or does not exist." Sorry don't have the number right now. This is only for version 6.5, I am able to get 7.0 running just fine.
