How to setup Auto Attendant -step by step 1

How it is to be used determines setup.
Datails please.
Basics:
Dial by name works automatically
Dial and extension works automatically
Dial an extension without VM requires enabling
For thinks like dial 1 for this and 2 for that you can use single digit mailboxes with the extension field the value you want to transsfer to.
For Multilevel (nested) Menus you need Menu Nodes.
For best results, try to set up and ask where you have difficulty. This isnt a training site.

And how do you record the greetings? What about the greetings for ACD?
Main Day and Night greetings are recorded from the admin mailbox 999, or 9999 depending on you settings for digit length.
The default passcode is 8642
4 then 1 then 1 for day
4 then 1 then 2 for closed (night)
There is an option to enable whether the voicemail follows the day night setting of the phone system (recommended) or follows a schedule set up thru admin.
For ACD RADs, things are much more complicated.
You need to dedicate ports for rads (not part of main group)
Warning: Make sure you DO NOT use the last or first ports on the Voicemail for RAD's (take from the middle somewhere.
These ports are then assigned to a RAD Hunt Group
The Rad Ports need to be set to play a RAD set of greetings
The RAD set of greetings get assigned a single or group of messages to play.
The RAD greetings are recorded thru the Admin mailbox as well
Option 8 I believe.
From there, what greeting gets recorded depends on the settings above.

What system is this on?
3300: Did you look at the online (step-by-step) directions?
SX200: Did you look at the technician (step-by-step) handbook that ships with the system?
My point is, this is EXTREMELY, well, documented and is truly step-by-step.
I would start there.

Kindof echo's my comments about this not being a training site.
I don't mind helping a guy across the street but teaching him to tie his shoes first is asking too much.

Please do not be hostile to those seeking your advice! You are our heroes! Sometimes I can find the information easily, and sometimes not so easily. Sometimes I do not have a manual before me (as was in this case) and I need to get an answer to a customer pronto. Besides, isn't it nice to get an easy question once in a while?!! Thanks again!
Not trying to be hostile, just realistic. I do this because I like to. Blanket questions like, "How do I set up an Auto Attendant" require too much time and effort to bother with.
Next time I'll just pass.

Mitel has really nice embedded on-line documentation. I was learning the system using common sence and those pages and it worked. For triks and tips I come here and If I discovered something I share it here. So as a bottom line, read manual first, try to follow it and then ask questions. If you want to get quick answers to your customers, learn the system. And BTW you are getting paid for it. Guys over here are really highly skilled and busy peole and they are not going to do YOUR job.
