We've had an issue with a contractor that did "something" while trying to debug a line problem, and and suddenly, the time is 12 hours late (that is, at 0100 today, the system reports 1300 yesterday as the time). The contractor had to be unplugged (a long story) and we have the switch back in service except for the odd time.
We are relatively new to the switch, so don't know the actual LD needed to accomplish this. I am more than a bit nervous about allowing them back into the switch to change it, as they didn't do anything we requested while logged in... [sigh]

Can anyone provide detailed instructions on changing the time/date?

Thanks

Login to your switch, go to LD 2
ttad will give the time date currently in switch
STAD is prompt to set the time and date

Thanks, that did the trick, once I figured out I had to input just the dd mm yyyy hh mm ss without a text day...

Thanks

Outstanding. I note an important part of worldwide's post:

.TTAD

That was the first command worldwide showed - and an important one. It is the reminder for the order you enter your changes... In other words, follow the format of a "TTAD" when you are entering a "STAD"

If you enter the date wrong, you risk MerMail expiring voice messages unexpectedly.

that was a fun problem when users tested there switches for y2k, usually around a year to 6 months before 31 dec 99, we had customers calling in almost everyday.. seems that when you set the tad ahead almost a year, voice mails were all way to old and they went away... take my word for it, before anyone can notice the are being erased, it's to late.. but gh is right for several reasons.. back in rolm school, prt chg and prt..always check your changes from ld 2 to ld 117
