Is there a switch or a setting to force Outlook to open into a certain specified default view? i.e. Open in 'Outlook Today' view, or 'Calendar' view or 'Tasks' view

Use the Tools>Options menu selection, click the Other tab, and in the General section click the Advanced Options button. That gives you a Start Up In This Folder combo box. Rick Sprague

is there a way to set this to a custom folder instead of the fixed list in this option?

I've created a folder that opens to a web page and want to have Outlook today start with this folder.

Cheers
