Would appreciate if anyone can share me ideas on how to programmatically send fax from my VFP application using Microsoft Shared Fax (installed as client printer). Shared Fax comes with Backoffice Server/Windows 2000 Small Business Server.

Thanks in advance,
Peping

I guess there are none or only few SBS users in this forum. However, even it took me a little while, i've finally put together a solution on how to programmatically send a fax from my VFP appication using Microsoft Shared Fax Client.

Additionally, I've written a FAQ for other Small Business Server users: faq184-2557.

Thanks,
Peping

I read your FAQ and I honestly don't where this applies to Small Business servers. It shows how to send an e-mail through Outlook. I'm not sure this FAQ appropriate for the job.
Doesn't Microsoft Fax install as a seperate printer driver?

Mike,

If you're in a SBS network with a LAN fax card installed, SBS' Shared Fax is configured as a client printer driver instead of Microsost Fax. You can have both if client machine has a local fax. In this case, Outlook is being used. In Outlook/Exchange, i've found out that you can use a fax number in lieu of an email address.

Shared Fax Cleint, acting as a printer (driver), you can also manually send fax from word, excel or other application.

Ok, I see where you get your solution.

Well, at least you translated the code from VB to VFP. Mike Gagnon
